Research interests

Alongside the publication record, a substantial part of my work is designing and implementing software systems at national scale — from educational and research portals to monitoring and student administration.

Software systems design and implementation

Architecture and construction of information systems at university and national scale — including Teaching Assistant and Skill Yar, the Payesh monitoring platform, the Researchers Club portals, Sama Jam, SamaYar, and Hamrah Sama — with a focus on software engineering, service-oriented architecture, and the practical deployment of web and mobile systems.

Community detection in complex networks

Detecting overlapping community structure in social and biological networks with a hybrid metaheuristic framework — whale optimization, salp swarm, and cloud optimization — orchestrated by a choice-function hyperheuristic. Evaluated with modularity and normalized mutual information on real datasets and LFR benchmarks.

Neural networks and graph learning

Neural models for singular linear systems and grid task scheduling, and graph neural networks for energy-distribution optimization in smart-city infrastructures.

Metaheuristic optimization and scheduling

Ant-colony algorithms with biased initial ants and an elitist strategy for independent-task scheduling in heterogeneous distributed systems, together with comparative studies of classical grid schedulers.

Cloud and grid computing

Principles and design of a cloud-based operating system, and operating-system architecture for distributed grid networks — including resource allocation in heterogeneous environments.

Dependable web systems

Quantitative modeling and evaluation of dependable internet-voting systems built on web services, with an emphasis on trustworthiness in service-oriented architectures.
